THIS... is a 2014 Subaru BRZ, finished in Dark Gray Metallic with a black and gray interior.
- Extensively modified by the seller, this BRZ is powered by a turbocharged "2JZ-GTE" 3.0-liter straight-6 built by Toyota. The long list of modifications made to this car also includes a "CD009" 6-speed manual transmission from a Nissan 370Z, an adapter plate from Maverick Motorsports, and a Motec M130 ECU. Additional details are provided below. - Factory equipment includes cloth upholstery, sport seats for the front passengers, a touchscreen for the infotainment system, and a navigation system.
- Developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru, the first-generation BRZ was introduced for the 2013 model year. It was instantly celebrated as a reasonably affordable (and, as this build shows, highly tunable) coupe with excellent handling. It remained in production with a Subaru-sourced flat-4 engine — never with a Toyota-built straight-6 — until late 2020.
- Power for this BRZ comes from a "2JZ GTE" straight-6, rated at about 276 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications increase those figures to 737 and 558, respectively, according to a dyno sheet shown in the gallery. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
